All this talk of fashion week I sing the blues Project Runway. I know that Bravo is trying to lift my spirits to know the details of its new fashion competition series, but not really work.
Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland and judge cohosting fashion show, whose title could use a little work. It's pretty ... in the nose, guys. Fern Mallis, "fashion luminary" and senior vice president of IMG Fashion (and occasional guest judge on PR), will be the other judge. To quote Bravo's release:. "The fashion show follows professional designers who strive to make their mark on the world of dog-eat-dog fashion and compete for the opportunity to have their designs sold for the mass retail market, the designers will be the faces the challenges and have their fate determined not only by professional judges, but also by a studio audience. In the end, the winner will have their designs available for sale by a major selling point. "Ooooh, with public participation in the study. I can only assume that will be either American style Funniest Home Videos (vote with a device in his seat) or Showtime at the Apollo-style (vote by applause). Given that Isaac Mizrahi apparently thinks peanut M & Ms are vegan, maybe the judges can use all the help they can get.
Eight episodes in the gateway, I admit, I have yet to give a real verdict on whether the show is good or not, rather than the back half of the series ceremoniously replaced, Project Runway. Well, you can say you're doing something right, I'm pretty busy with the program despite my lack of fashion sense, and in a way that is different from the track. I have favorites, I have no complaints, and I really understand what they are talking about. Ahh, finally, the accessibility of all types, but still lost in terms. Halston? The nosebleed.
But of course there are some things that need fixing. For some reason, feels Gateway haste, and some episodes feel it is more objective drama crafts, such as the fight Merlin created in vain last week. Sometimes I feel a little disconnected with the way it is paced, without giving me the opportunity to make designs - maybe it's what they wanted, but do not know. But one thing is obvious, do not know anyone who does not hold the same views as me: what the hell is Kelly Rowland doing here?
Well. So the argument has been taken from the first episode. Kelly is not exactly an authority on fashion, which even admits - she is co-host of the show, since, in his own words (probably misunderstood), "I have been in the forefront of many fashion shows." Not exactly known for being a trendsetter, and to be honest, I do not pay much attention to her during her year as part of Destiny's Child. (I'm not saying it's not good musically - only, of course, we train our eyes on BeyoncĂ© Knowles © O's just me ..)
On the other hand, I understand, or so I think, that put her on the program: accessibility. The fashion show, after all, about "real fashion for real people", and can be seen in the work of the designers. You have to Isaac Mizrahi and Fern Mallis - big names in the fashion world - the trial is going on with guest judges. And Kelly? Well, ask questions, but the only things that are probably not (1) rapidly end talks with Isaac before the submission of designs, (2) read what the public thinks of the designs, and (3) that " 'still in this competition, but is hanging by a thread. "
Yes, the only thing I dislike is that Kelly Rowland, in a show where you have to know what we are talking about belief, that sounds so rigid.
Somehow saw it coming, but should have an idea, right? However, it sounds sincere in his comments on the design - it sounds as if they all acted out. To make matters worse, the discussions could have been much better. You see Isaac, a guest judge Fern and throw a lot of ideas, and Kelly just miss something out of nothing and seems slighted and all. So, yes, they were not the only ones wondering whether a judge once asked Veronica Webb could have been better to take that slot co-host - someone the audience could understand and know what it does.
Or, perhaps, is one of those inevitable consequences that brings the track next project. After all, some of which are now seen before and are just passing the time classes. If we Klum, Gunn, Garcia and Kors make a lot of friendly and knowledgeable, then, well, the expectations of Mizrahi, Rowland and Mallis are high. And in this moment is not exactly going well. But I will not call Kelly to be replaced at this time: I prefer to give the show more time to grow, and maybe when they finally settle in his new position will begin to kick ass. But the lesson is obvious: if you have a lantern, a lantern in a convincing manner, or move on.
